Girls’ Night Out #WhatNightWine Glass #Review

I recently had a sort of high school reunion with classes 1986-1993; I was class of 1991.  Boy did I feel old.  I was hesitant about going because I didn’t know everyone that was going, but I am so happy that I went.  This “reunion” of sorts gave me the opportunity to meet with friends I haven’t seen in forever due to lives getting busy.  One of my friends, L,  I hadn’t seen in person in 9 years and another one was 20 years (YIKES!).  We all picked up right where we left off like no time had passed.  I can’t even describe how wonderful it was.

One of my friends, M, lives in a different state so she wasn’t able to attend.  M does plan on visiting this summer so L and I decided we would have a weekend sleepover for the three of us.  I can’t wait!  It is going to be so much fun.

M, L, and I were talking about the things we want to do when M is here.  Of course drinking wine is on our list.  I found the PERFECT wine glass for this weekend.

Really, does it get any better than this?

I found this wine glass on Amazon.  I have a total of 3 of them.  I bought two and received one of them for free to review.  I did buy one before I received a discount code to get one free (sorry, I can’t offer this to you).  I was worried about wine glasses being shipped.  I shouldn’t have worried though.  Each glass came bubble-wrapped in a box within a box.  I love the saying on the wine glass, and I love the thickness of the glass.  I have had thin wine glasses in the past, and needless to say, they didn’t last long.  Who needs a thin wine glass?  It spells disaster.

Beard Oil #Review #RealMenDoBeards

*Sigh* My hubby has a beard and is determined to let it get long. It was wiry and all over the place. He was not pleased with this. He has tried Beard Oil and uses it at least twice a week. He admits he would get better results using it daily (as the directions say), but he is not a morning person so he forgets. He loves this beard oil and recommends it to those with beards. His beard has never felt as soft as this before.

GrillFella BBQ Wok in Copper #Review #GrillFella

I received the GrillFella BBQ to review.  All opinions are my own.  I would not recommend something I do not like.

My hubby recently bought a fire pit.  It comes with a grill you can set on the top.  He grilled some chicken New Year’s Eve, and it was delicious!  I have always wanted to grill vegetables but was afraid they would fall through the grill’s spaces (and it would).  I was so happy to receive this BBQ wok to try.

I wanted to try something simple at first as I am not a chef nor do I play one on TV.  I cut up some zucchini and yellow squash, added olive oil, salt and pepper.  I put it in the BBQ wok and put it on top of the fire pit’s grill.  It worked out perfectly.  I would just lightly stir the vegetables so they cooked evenly.  I don’t know how long I had them on the grill (remember I’m not a chef).  The GrillFella BBQ wok made cooking the vegetables on the fire pit so easy!  I didn’t take pictures because I thought I would get another chance to use the fire pit to cook, but mother nature decided we would have a cold winter in Texas.

One of the things I like about the wok is that it comes with a divider so you can separate things you want to cook.

It comes with a divider and there are three slots to choose.

I recommend this for anyone with an outside grill whether a charcoal grill, propane grill, natural gas grill, or a fire pit. It would be perfect to take on camping trips and to your favorite cookouts.

Indian Healing Clay Review

 

 

I have reviewed this clay on Amazon; you can find my review here.   At the time of publication, the Indian Healing Clay was on sale for $12.95 which is a great price.

The product is dried clay.  You add one part clay to three parts water.  My daughters and I did one tablespoon to 3 tablespoons water, and it was enough for one person to use.

I liked using the clay with just water, and Martha did as well.  Tink likes trying different things with the clay.  She mixed it with fractionated coconut oil and different essential oils.  She was pleased with the results.  Tink said her face never felt so soft and she felt her face stayed clearer for a longer time than with other face masks she has used.

This is a good product.  It is one I like to use once a week.  I always have to look for it as my daughters use it as well.  You can buy it here on Amazon.

Peppermint oil has many benefits.  My husband likes the fact that it repels spiders.  Hubby does not like spiders so he will put a few drops of peppermint oil in a spray bottle filled with water.  He will then spray everywhere (and I mean everywhere) he thinks a spider may be lurking.  He pays special attention to doorways and windows.

One of my favorite ways to use this oil is putting a few drops in my diffuser.  It gives the air a crisp, clean smell.  I also love using it to wipe of my kitchen counters since I have read it has antiseptic qualities.  I am getting rid of my harsh cleaners.

Fractionated Coconut Oil #Review

I love, love, love fractionated coconut oil. I am of the mindset that you can never have too much of it around. It gets used all of the time around my house by me, Martha, and Tink.

I love using it to dilute my essential oils before applying the oils topically. I also like putting it on my dry, winter skin.

Martha uses it to remove her makeup. Sometimes she will add essential oils and other times she won’t. It just depends on what she feels her face needs. It is great at removing makeup and softens her face at the same time.

Tink uses fractionated coconut oil to help with the dryness of her scalp. She will also use it on her dry skin.

Towel Lab Sports Travel Towel #Review #TowelLab

 

 

I like walking for exercise. It gets quite warm where I live so I am usually sweating when I finish. This towel is perfect to keep in my vehicle to wipe off the sweat after I finish walking. It absorbs quickly and is easy to clean. I tried this towel after a shower, and I was quite impressed. It dried off my skin quickly and absorbed water from my hair as well. I hung it up after my shower, and it dried faster than a normal towel. This would be great to take with you if you go to the gym. It would barely take up any room in your gym bag.

Vitamin C Serum #Review #vitamincserum

I have read a lot about Vitamin C and Vitamin E for your skin.  Vitamin C is supposed to help spots and other age-related changes to skin.  Vitamin E is supposed to help with moisture in your skin.  These are things I am interested in since I have hit the 4o year old mark (actually 41).  My skin does not bounce back as quickly as it used to and moisture is something my face lacks.  I do have some sun spots (or age spots whatever you want to call them) that I would love to see get lighter.  I would also love to see my skin have more elasticity that it has now; I would love to rewind back 10 years to start using certain beauty products to combat the problems I have now.

I love trying new beauty products.   I am all about finding something to make my face look and feel younger.  I have to say that since using this Vitamin C serum that my face is brighter.  I love this since I have never won a lot of makeup.  I used to only wear makeup on special occasions.  Since hitting the 40 mark, I have been wearing more makeup to even out my skin tone.  I have noticed I do not need to worry about even skin tone as much since using Vitamin C serum.  This makes me so happy.  I love not worrying about putting on makeup before I leave the house.
