Ergonomic Pen Review and GIVEAWAY–The Great UGLee Pen

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have seen reviews for this pen and was skeptical.  Can an ergonomic pen really make a difference?  I jumped at the chance to do a review (and of course a giveaway) of this pen.

I received three pens.  Immediately I opened one and was amazed at the comfort I felt when I held it so I had to start writing.  I made list after list.  My children were laughing at me so I decided to let them try the pen.  Martha was amazed that the comfort grip went all the way down; she holds her pen and pencil differently and usually grips do not reach all the way to the bottom.

I love this pen.  The grip is wonderful and the ink is perfect.  I have not had any problem when writing with this comfortable pen.  Well, that isn’t true.  I have had a problem.  I can’t find my pens when I want to write something.  My children have been taking them to use them so I always have to hunt for them.

Now for the giveaway.  You can win an UGLee pen to use!

Misfits’ Trek Book Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was selected to do a review of this book.  This is the fourth book in a series.called the Talan Revolt.  I had not read the previous three books before reading this one.

Here is a synopsis that I was given :

Rick rides through the night toward San Bitante, to save an old lover condemned to die in a hideous mass execution.

He has his saber, his magic, his pistol . . . and no idea what he’ll do when he gets there.

It’s his first day as a rebel.

I love books that include magical elements so I was intrigued plus I had to know if he was able to save an old lover.

I decided to take my Kindle with me when I took my child and her friends to Kemah for the day during Christmas Break.  I thought I would walk around some, read the book, and walk around some more.  I settled down on a bench with my hot chocolate and my Kindle to start reading around noon.  I was hooked from the very beginning–magic, magical creatures, good vs. evil all in an imaginary land.  I soon lost track of time as I felt like I was in the book living what the characters were living.  There is enough description of the past so you don’t get lost if you haven’t read the previous books.

Before I knew it, three hours had passed so I decided to walk around some.  I didn’t last long at that because I had to know what was happening in the book that I felt I was a part in it.  I had to start reading again.

Humans, magic, elves, ogres, vampires, good, and evil are all in this book.  There are twists and turns that kept me wanting to know what happened next.  I loved the battle scenes and there is a little bit of love thrown in to the mix.  Everything comes together for the ending.  The ending (which I will not spoil) was not what I expected.

I highly recommend this book for those of you that love adventure.  I love that this book was not predictable.  I often lose interest in those books.  I did not lose interest in this one at all.

I am a green tea fan.  I absolutely love it.  I received the Caramel Matchaccino to review.  It came with suggestions on how to make it hot or cold.

I decided to follow the directions for a hot drink.  After all, the polar vortex hit in Texas so it was very cold outside.  The hot Caramel Matchaccino warmed me up very quickly.  I liked the sweet taste of caramel.  I was impressed that I did not need to add sugar like I usually do to my green tea drinks.  You can find Caramel Matchaccino at http://www.redleaftea.com/matchaccino/caramel-matchaccino.html.
